Custom Dove Prisms

Dove prisms are four-sided reflecting prisms with a trapezoidal cross-section used primarily for image rotation and inversion. When rotated about the optical axis, the transmitted image rotates at twice the rate of the prism rotation, making them ideal for rotational alignment applications, telescopes, and periscopes.

Our configurator below provides instant online quoting for custom dove prisms in N-BK7 (H-K9L) and UV Fused Silica (JGS1) materials. You can specify length, width, and height dimensions along with optional AR coatings for the angled faces.

Note: It costs about as much to make one custom prism as it does to make ten, hence the minimum order quantity is 10 pieces. Large price drops occur as volume increases to 100 units.
