Custom Penta Prisms

Penta prisms are five-sided reflecting prisms used to deviate a beam of light by exactly 90° without inverting or reversing the image. Unlike right angle prisms, penta prisms maintain constant 90° deviation regardless of rotation about the optical axis, making them ideal for optical alignment, surveying instruments, and applications requiring stable beam deflection.

Our configurator below provides instant online quoting for custom penta prisms in N-BK7 (H-K9L) and UV Fused Silica (JGS1) materials. You can specify base face length, width, and select optional AR coatings for the entrance/exit faces.

Note: It costs about as much to make one custom prism as it does to make ten, hence the minimum order quantity is 10 pieces. Large price drops occur as volume increases to 100 units.
