Plano concave lenses are single-element optical lenses with one flat (plano) surface and one inward-curved (concave) surface. They are ideal for beam expansion, diverging light, and reducing optical power. Common applications include laser beam expanders, virtual image projection, and light-source conditioning where negative optical power is required.

Our configurator below provides instant online quoting for custom plano concave lenses in N-BK7 (H-K9L) and UV Fused Silica (JGS1) materials. You can specify diameter, radius of curvature, edge thickness, and select optional AR coatings.

Note: It costs about as much to make one custom lens as it does to make ten, hence the minimum order quantity is 10 pieces. Large price drops occur as volume increases to 100 units.
