Optosky ATP Ubuntu Driver + GUI Install Guide

The Ubuntu download is an amd64 .deb package. It installs the spectrometer runtime library, command-line tools, desktop GUI, C SDK files, documentation, license notices, and USB access rule.

Download

Download optosky_0.2.0_amd64.deb.

Install

From the directory containing the downloaded file:

sudo apt install ./optosky_0.2.0_amd64.deb

Use apt install, not dpkg -i, so Ubuntu can install required packages automatically. If the spectrometer is already connected, unplug it and plug it back in after installation so the USB access rule applies.
